Common Questions

Straight answers about cost, installation, and caring for your lift.

How much does a home elevator cost?

Most residential elevator projects in Michigan range from $35,000 to $60,000 installed, depending on the model, number of stops, and construction required. Shaftless models start lower. We provide an exact quote after a free in-home assessment.

Can an elevator be added to an existing home?

Yes. Most of our installations are retrofits. Shaftless and through-floor designs need as little as 18 square feet, and stacked closets often provide a ready-made shaft location.

How long does installation take?

Site preparation typically takes one to two weeks. Once your elevator arrives, installation usually takes three to five days, followed by state inspection.

How much space does a home elevator need?

Compact shaftless elevators fit in a footprint about the size of a small closet, roughly 4 by 4 feet. Traditional cabs need slightly more, plus a machine space we help you plan for.

Do home elevators require permits in Michigan?

Yes. Every elevator and lift requires a state permit and inspection. We handle all permitting, scheduling, and inspections for you. It’s included in every installation.
